I’m almost finished with decorating and setting up my classroom. I moved to a different classroom this year and had to figure out how I wanted the room to look. Here is a first peek at my walls.

I bought the fabric from JoAnn’s and the burlap ribbon from Hobby Lobby. JoAnn’s gives a teacher discount and be sure to use coupons at Hobby Lobby or check on sales.

I plan to use this calendar for both levels and put important things like tests and project due dates. The red square will be for 1A and the green square for 1B. I will write one important reminder or due date at a time on these. I also left space underneath the calendar for other papers…passing period schedule, etc.

Hello! I love the burlap border and I’m trying to use a similar theme this year. Do you happen to remember which burlap you bought in terms of size? I see they also carry a pre-scrunched burlap but it seems you might have done yours yourself. If so, did you just use staples? Thanks in advance!
Hi! I don’t remember what size I bought but I would guess like 3-4 inches maybe! It was pricey, but I made sure to use Hobby Lobby’s coupons. Yes, I did my own scrunching with staples! 🙂
